EnergySolutions is an international nuclear services company headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. With operations and facilities in the United States, Canada, Asia and United Kingdom our more than 4,000 professionals provide integrated services and solutions to the nuclear industry. EnergySolutions is the global leader in the safe recycling, processing and disposal of nuclear material providing state-of-the-art technology to the United States Government, the Government of the United Kingdom, nuclear power plants worldwide and various medical and research facilities.
We were asked to create a website for the client that was informational for both the community, as well as their customers. Previously, the website was dated, clunky, and visually heavy. Aesthetically, they placed too much emphasis on their primary service of disposing nuclear waste. The website was difficult to update by the client, and as such was very out of date on new information. The website also acted as a portal for staff to access company resources.
Initial Goals:
- Generate leads/enrollments.
- Create brand awareness.
- Develop a solid digital footprint.
- Dominate the local market and expand into National market.
- Generate revenue to further expansion and ongoing marketing efforts.
our strategy
Our strategy was to design a custom web site utilizing the WordPress CMS. This method makes it easy to use and update for clients.
Initial Goals:
- We also focused on keeping the website light and fresh, to emphasize how EnergySolutions helped keep the world clean.
- More white space was added, in conjunction with a modern, full width layout.
- Brighter photography was always utilized to create a more environmental-friendly feeling.
- We also restructured the navigation to make it more user friendly for the community when they’re looking for information.
the results
Various departments of staff for EnergySolutions with no technical background, and with minimal training, are able to consistently keep the website updated with fresh new content and information. The redesign of the website was completed on time and within budget. It now functions as both a great advertisement as well as a portal for international users.
